News 12 announced an all-new season of CRIME FILES will premiere tomorrow, March 29 at 9:30 p.m. ET on News 12 and News 12 New York. News 12’s Investigative Team dives into some of the most noteworthy cases from the tri-state area, including haunting disappearances and heart-breaking murders. The original series returns with eight new episodes, complete with exclusive interviews and in-depth reporting.
This season, News 12 will explore the haunting legacy of Robert Durst, a wealthy real estate heir who was convicted of the murder of his friend Susan Berman in 2021 and then indicted in the death of his first wife in Westchester County later that year. News 12 has exclusive access to detectives who spent decades investigating the case, relatives of Durst’s victims, and a notorious Texas prisoner who claims to have shocking information about the Durst family, never revealed before.
Additional episodes will explore the last days of John Lennon, the ongoing search for 5-year-old Dulce Alavez, and the former Yale endocrinologist whose malpractice changed a community forever.
“This season of CRIME FILES digs into the crimes that made huge waves throughout the tri-state area,” said Audrey Gruber, VP News & Assistant GM. “From heartbreaking to unusual, our award-winning News 12 Investigative Team handles each of these cases thoughtfully and ensures our viewers get every detail.”
New episodes of CRIME FILES will premiere tomorrow across News 12’s seven dedicated channels available on local cable TV lineups, and on News 12 New York, News 12’s regional OTT network.
