Netflix announced in a X post that fantasy drama “The Witcher,” which has begun production on season four, will conclude with season five. “We’re heading back to The Continent. The Witcher Season 4 is officially in production. And Season 5 is coming to bring this epic series to a fitting conclusion,” it wrote.

Debuting on December 20, 2019, “The Witcher” is based on the book series of the same name and is set on a fictional, medieval-inspired landmass known as the Continent where is explores the legends of Geralt of Rivia, Yennefer of Vengerberg and Princess Ciri. “The Witcher” stars Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra and Freya Allan. It is executive produced by Steve Gaub, Matt O’Toole, Mike Ostrowski, Javier Grillo-Marxuach, Lauren Schmidt, Platige Films (Tomek Baginski and Jarek Sawko) and Hivemind Content (Jason Brown and Sean Daniel).

Twenty-four episodes of “The Witcher” have been produced through season three.
